Help Vic's constant pain end

Hi, my name is Nadine, and I am pursuing funding for disc replacement surgery for my Husband Vic. When you look at the amount we must raise, you might think this is so big We will never reach this goal. After praying for this surgery, I feel that God has tasked me with raising money and I am stepping out in faith to trust God through this process.

Vic needs to have two to four discs in his back replaced. We have been fighting our insurance for surgery approval since November 2022 and they keep denying it. He has tried physical therapy, several rounds of steroid shots, traction, acupuncture, and adjustments. None of these treatments have helped. Currently, he is taking the maximum dose of narcotic pain medication and it barely dulls the pain. Since July 2022 Vic has been so overcome with pain that he struggles to walk, sit, stand, etc. He is basically suffering in every position, but he gets a little relief when lying down. This affects his ability to work and function in his daily life and he spends most days in bed because of the pain. It also limits his ability to spend time doing his true passion, to minister to first responders through the Navigators Ministry.

Since starting this journey, we have also learned that he will not be able to have the surgery that he needs here in the United States. Our insurance company may approve fusing or possibly replacing one disk and fusing the others in later surgeries. Because of the location in his back, this would severely decrease his mobility and would end his active lifestyle, and most likely cause further complications down the road. In Germany they can replace both disks needed and replace the other two if needed in the same surgery, eliminating the need for multiple surgeries.

How would our life change with having this surgery? We would be able to be active again but more importantly, we would be able to focus more of our time in ministry, serving first responders through Navigators ministries.
