Hello everyone!

My name is Valentine, you can call me Val or Vali for short. I was born near Rapsani, Greece and I am 2 and 1/2 months old. I have been horribly abused since birth and never quite understood why. 

My mom, Mary Wenthur, saw what my life was like and came to my rescue! Before I knew it I was in my first ever car, then a train, and finally had my first bath! Now I am in Athens, Greece figuring out how to get to the USA! 

I would really, really like to go home with my mom. I love to play fetch, chase pigeons, enjoy the comfort of a real bed and chew on everything I can get my teeth on. I am exceptionally smart and already know how to sit and stay! I want to keep learning more!

Getting Valentine to the USA is difficult. He is too young to travel at the moment because he needs more vaccinations and blood tests. He will have to stay here in Greece with a foster parent and get the necessary medical treatment he needs. Once he is able to fly, shipping him to the USA is very expensive, but I believe in this boys value of life.

Greece doesn’t have the same laws as the USA when it comes to animals. Due to the high amount of strays, shelters and fosters care fill up immediately. They don’t euthanize their animals and believe they have a right to live, so they will be put back on the streets.
 
I can’t see this little love go back to where he came from. I fell instantly in love with Valentine. No matter how badly he was mistreated, he continued to ask for love. I can’t afford to stay with him. I have trust that this will all work out, but I need help.

Please, anything helps. Anything at all. He means the world to me and has so much to offer! Please help me get Valentine back to the US!
