Help get us to Japan for the Karate Global Championships
We’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping a dedicated team of 22 incredible young karate athletes represent England at the IKGA Global Karate Championships being held in Japan in August 2025 — a prestigious international event that marks the peak of years of hard work, discipline, and passion.
These athletes have trained tirelessly, many for years, and recently brought home an impressive haul of medals at the English Karate Federation International Open Championships and the British 4 Nations Championships – including multiple golds, silvers, and bronzes. Their dedication, skill, and spirit are second to none.
But while their talent is world-class, the financial challenge is real.
Many of these talented individuals come from modest backgrounds, and the costs associated with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — including flights, accommodation, and competition fees — can be overwhelming. Especially for our younger athletes who need their families to travel with them for support and safeguarding. Without help, this opportunity may be out of reach.
That’s where you come in.
With your help, we can:
• Reduce the financial burden on these families
• Ensure every athlete has the chance to compete, regardless of income
• Offer these young people an unforgettable experience that builds confidence, character, and global friendships
• Provide a safe, supported, and empowering experience abroad
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us get closer to our goal. You’ll be helping more than just athletes — you’ll be helping build confidence, character, and unforgettable memories.
We are a registered charity, so your support may also be eligible for gift aid or matched funding. And your generosity will have a direct, lasting impact on these young people’s futures.
Together, let’s give these young champions the opportunity they’ve worked so hard for. Please donate and share this page to help us spread the word.
Thank you so much for your support from all of us at Yamaguchi Goju Kai England — and from every athlete dreaming of stepping onto that world stage in Japan — it truly means the world to us.
With respect and gratitude,
