Rajiv and I met thru family friends in Nairobi, whilst attending my brothers wedding in 2000.
Rajiv was a fun, gentle, kind and humble guy. He accepted me completely for who I was and saw a future for us in the US. Within 8 months we were arranged to be married and got married in 2001. We remained in Nairobi another 5 years and Reiha was born in 2003.
We moved to my home state Orlando, Florida by 2007 when Reiha was only 3yrs. Rajiv felt it was best to get her into the American Education system from the get go, as she was gonna end up here with us eventually.
Rajiv started working at the airport and found his love for Aviation, he spent the next 2 years getting his degree, and for two years slept only 3 hours a day, he was very dedicated and wanted a good life for his family. He was a LOVING, NURTURING man and only wanted the best for us!
Then one day I got the dreaded call, the Chaplin asked me to get the very next flight, I was in shock, as we were at the time both in different cities travelling for work....
His company Rolls Royce Berlin, were very helpful in getting me to Wichita by the very next morning. I was still in shock and did not want this to be REAL.....
But it was and for the next four months I sat bedside helping him to get healthy again, talking to doctors all day and understanding the situation full scle, but alas that all did not help us in the end,,,,,,these were very a very hard 4 months, terrifying to say the least, I thought however that we were gonna make it, I wa shopeful and so wa Rajiv, Reiha prayed to have her father back to health, , we had the best doctor and staff, but the genetics finally got us!
It has been no less than devastating for me and Reiha and we dont know how an why this happened to us. It has been an extremely hard road for us.
I was able to keep us a float for a while until things went south for me and I was forced to look for another job....
We no longer have the home we lived in with Rajiv and are looking to hopefully finally settle down this August - A long time coming.
Reiha is now a Sophomore and I need to make sure she is safe and well....... This has been EXTREMELY hard on her and she misses her father more than anything in the world. Rajiv and Reiha had a bond that was special.... she misses him so much I can see it in her eyes!
We have finally managed to find an apartment and with all your help we hope to get into it before school starts.
We want to thank you all for all your have done for us, we re forever indebted....!
Please feel free to contact me and Reiha if you like on [phone redacted], I would be happy to get to know Rajivs friends, its just a shame, that this did not happen whilst he was still around. I know however he is looking down on us and his heart must be filled with love and gratitude for his friends.
