Since our story began 3 years ago we decided to move in together at a young age. We managed money well and did everything to have a better life than what we grew up with.

I got pregnant when our financials and relationship was at its best so we knew we would be okay….. until we wasn’t.

I had to drop hours of work from being overly sick from my pregnancy and needing 2 incomes in this economy is a must. I could only work 2-3 days a week and it put a huge strain on our bills. We thought it would be okay and would catch back up but once you are behind it is hard to catch up. Once I had my c-section I had to be completely off work for 2 months with no income…. He tried and tried to make everything seem okay but the bills kept racking up.

in those 2 months my financed car got repossessed due to nonpayment and our phones have been shut off, power has been shut off, couldn’t even buy a pack of wipes so we had to get small $2 pack of wipes which caused diaper rashes and the truck we have been trying to fix up to get us to WORK is on its last legs.

Finally we decided we needed help, so we went through with the welfare but they could only do so much.

Since my time off was “undocumented” they couldn’t proof I took maturity leave. He was making money but it wasn’t enough, tho to them it was too much. We was told to pay a certain amount before they could help and our electric was shut off the next day so we had to scrape out what we were going to use for the other bills just so they could help us.

Even though they helped a little bit it put us into a deeper hole getting help because we had to use money from the other bills.

We just need help and don’t want to end up homeless or without power or water with a 3 month old as much as we can say we tried, we are so ashamed to ask for any help so we just keep pushing on until we can’t.
