Help our Youth Sailing Team Rise from the Storm

On October 31, 2019 a tremendous windstorm hit our Club and several lasers belonging to our junior race team were damaged.  They have lost their spars, sails and rigging along with damage to the hulls.  The insurance companies have refused to pay forcing our youth and their families to replace the lost parts and repair the damage on their own.

These young people are the heart and soul of sailing and we are heartbroken at the loss.  Sail Canada and the Ontario Sailing Association have selected our Club as one of the training centres for Canada’s high performance sailing team, where young sailors train for international competition and the Olympic Games.  Without your help, this group of dedicated and passionate young people will be stranded and unable to train and complete.

We are looking to raise funds that will go towards replacing parts and repairing damage and getting our junior race team back on the water in time for the next season.
