My name is Renée Rhéaume. I live with my partner Richard and our 4 children. I have been battling Chronic Lyme Disease and its debilitating symptoms for more than 8 years, privately until now.

 

My brother-in-law Daniel Comtois passed away recently from a very long and courageous battle with Muscular Dystrophy. He was a kind and thoughtful man to the end and I admired his courage. During his last days, Daniel’s wish was to support my own battle and efforts to raise funds for my treatment and requested that an information and Go FUND ME to be attached to his Obituary, to generate awareness for Lyme Disease and help me get to my funding goal that will allow me to get treatment in a healthcare facility in the United States. He gave me the most selfless gift and it speaks greatly to the man he was. He is my angel, my strength and my hero.

 

Daniel’s gesture comes at a critical time as my health has started to decline rapidly and my family desperately needs the help. I have not been able to work for the last few years and was losing hope that I would be able to get the treatment in time. Daniel’s request to create awareness for my Go Fund Me page has given me new strength to fight and hope that with your help I may still have time to get treated, and be there for my family.

Mon beau-frère Daniel Comtois est décédé tout récemment après une longue et courageuse lutte contre la Dystrophie Musculaire. Il était un homme bon, et attentionné jusqu’à la fin et j’ai longtemps admirer son courage. Pendant ses derniers jours, Daniel souhaitait soutenir mes efforts pour amasser des fonds pour mon traitement en apportant une plus grande visibilité à la cause, et a demandé qu’une page d’information à ce sujet soit rattachée à son avis de décès, dans le but d’atteindre mon objectif qui me permettra de recevoir le traitement spécialisé, auprès d’une institution hospitalière aux États Unis. De ce fait, il ma fait le cadeau le plus altruiste, et cela parle de l’homme qu’il était. Il est mon ange, mon courage et mon hero.

 

Ce geste de Daniel arrive au moment où ma santé se détériore rapidement alors que ma famille a grandement besoin de cet aide. Je ne travaille pas depuis des années, et je perdais espoir de recevoir un traitement à temps.
