Tirzah Ruth, which means 'beautiful companion' in Hebrew, is just 13 years old and suffers from severe scoliosis. Her condition is complicated by Marfan syndrome, a genetic disorder which affects the connective tissue which supports the bones, muscles, organs, and tissues in your body. For Tirzah this has affected her spine, eyes and heart, and caused her scoliosis to progress rapidly and requires immediate treatment.
Due to the severity of the scoliosis, Tirzah is most likely going to require surgery to straighten and stabilize her spine. Before we commit to this invasive surgery, we want to give Tirzah every opportunity to "straighten out" using non-surgical treatment.
We have the opportunity to take Tirzah to the Scoliosis SOS Clinic in London https://www.scoliosissos.com/ where she will attend an intensive 4-week course of specialist treatment, and follow-up sessions afterward. It is our hope and prayer that the exercise-based therapy will relieve Tirzah's back pain, halt the progression of the scoliosis, balance and strengthen her back muscles to begin the process of reducing the angle of the curves. It will be a lifelong journey, but we are confident that Tirzah will benefit greatly from the specialist care she will receive in London.
But we cannot do this on our own. We need your help to raise funds to cover the cost of the 4-week intensive course at the London Clinic plus the follow-up sessions afterward. Tirzah will be traveling with her mother and sister, so we also need funds for flights to the UK from Israel, and accommodation and living expenses while in London.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. May you be blessed as you are a blessing to us. We trust in the Lord and continue to declare that God is good.
“But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings." Malachi 4:2
