Last Saturday, Ava lost her father very suddenly at their home in California. Arrangements were quickly made and her mother and brother (Jen and Jack) flew from VA to CA to be with Ava where they have now been for the last week helping with arrangements and packing to bring Ava home to VA. This has been a very difficult trip for a multitude of reasons, with thousands of dollars already spent on airfare/hotels/rental car. Today Ava is saying her final goodbyes to her father and we are trying to arrange airfare to get the three of them (and Ava’s two small dogs) home quickly and eliminate a cross country drive for an already emotionally exhausted family. The hope is to raise enough money to offset these final costs of airfare, pet travel, additional luggage for Ava’s personal belongings and memories of her father. If you have a few extra dollars to spare, we would love to see this family home before Thanksgiving to begin their healing!
