Help get these babies back into nature
Donation protected
Hello friends and family, on my hike yesterday I came across two baby squirrels that appeared dead. I soon realized they were alive but barely and picked them up and rushed them back to the car. Upon further inspection, I saw they were suffering from something known as fly strike. This normally gives the animal 24 hrs left to live unless treated. I stopped at the closest pet store and got all the supplies needed to get the eggs off before they develop and start eating them from the inside out. Almost all are off now and I have put them on medicine to kill any internal eggs. With that being said they still need a round of antibiotics which requires a vet visit and a cage once they can open their eyes. I plan on keeping them until they are 12 weeks old when it’s time to release them but in order to set them up for success a lot of equipment and food is needed. Right now they are being fed through a syringe every 3-4 hrs and will hopefully open their eyes in the next week or two if all goes well. I’m asking for donations because this is an expense I was not prepared for but was willing to make due to it being a life or death situation. Thank you for any donations that will help these babies get back into nature.
