UPDATE! URGENT HELP NEEDED!
You all did it! You helped Theo make it safely from Colorado to Michigan!!! That was a miracle in and of itself!!!
Unfortunately, once we got to Michigan our best laid plans fell through. The apartment we were supposed to be approved for fell through and we ended up having to go from hotel to hotel to airbnb to hotel while we were trying to find another location. During that time Theo got incredibly sick. He has been in the hospital for 40 days at this point - 3 of which he was in a medically induced coma. He is currently on the upswing and is scheduled to be released soon! Fortunately we were also approved for an apartment!!!! Having a place to call home after this incredibly intense journey has meant EVERYTHING!!!
Here is where you come in - We are about $1000 short of our goal to fund the apartment and utilities. Any and everything is appreciated. After this we should be able to manage. Thank you SO much for any and all support! We only have 3 days to make this happen!

In order to regain safety, stability and independence, Theo needs to relocate from Colorado to Michigan immediately
Although Theo has worked hard to build a life for himself in Colorado, the multiple, chronic health issues Theo deals with, including being a full time wheelchair user, are making living away from his main support (Theo's mom) more and more difficult.
Last month (March, 2025) all of Theo's health issues were exacerbated by a leak in his apartment which resulted in black mold exposure. Black mold is bad for anyone, but Theo has specific black mold allergies that cause heightened reactions such as - chronic fatigue, weakness, nausea, and projectile vomiting (with the inability to keep down food and water).
Because of his various allergies, getting back to a stable, allergen-free environment has been difficult. Theo's friends gathered hotel points to get him to a better environment. However Theo became weaker and weaker. Within days of being in the hotel, Theo was admitted to the hospital and transferred to inpatient rehabilitation where he is currently working on getting strong enough to make the move to Michigan as well as learning very real, every day techniques to manage life with his mobility issues.
Theo's friends have been amazing and have helped as much as they can. They all agree Theo needs to be with his mom in Michigan who is his only hope for stability and reliability and therefore safety and independence.
Theo's and his mom are accessing every resource available.

Watching her disabled son struggle to survive alone in a state so far away has been an unbearable emotional struggle over the past year, especially when the time and funds needed to visit him regularly are not within her reach as a divorced, single mom working full time. Raising funds to help bring her son closer is Theo's mom's only option right now, as well as her top priority.
Once Theo is able to reestablish himself in Michigan and find stable, accessible housing, his condition is expected to improve drastically. Theo has plans to write a book, attend college and start working again as soon as he is able.
Theo has been such a champion of fundraising for others who need help throughout the years. It's our turn help Theo!
Theo and his loved ones and friends are incredibly grateful for any and all help
