Help Get The Team Home...
So, Murray had a great fall. Boom!
As resilient as he is, he ended up blowing a tendon in his knee. This required surgery, which he had just over a week ago. It went well and he is on the road to recovery. This is good news!
The thing is, he has about a month or so of intense rehab ahead of him, during which he will be fairly useless. Physically, I mean; he will still be the sharp, caring and fun fella he always is - it's just that he will require lots of help taking care of his day-to-day needs. Most of this will end up falling to our mother, Halina. She is an amazing and resourceful woman and has taken great care of him (and all of us) over the years. But this is a big job and she can't do it alone.
Bottom line: with only one of their children currently living in town, we are trying to raise some funds to defray the costs of setting up some added assistance, and of flying in their two sons and daughter-in-law from the West Coast to give Halina some help and rest... and hopefully to buoy Murray's spirits!
Any amount is greatly appreciated!
Also - any funds over and above our goal will be donated directly to the rehab facility.
