Help Tex get Rex to Seattle!
A little over a month ago, I met a very sweet dog that was living in a drainage ditch in my neighborhood. He was super friendly but he seemed sad and acted like he was waiting on someone. I think he was probably abandoned because he wouldn't leave the little area where he was hanging out. After a little convincing, I took him into my tiny apartment and started calling him Rex Bonestar, because he is the dog version of me, Tex Lonestar! I have been taking care of him since then and working with an adoption agency that transports abandoned or unwanted dogs to the Pacific Northwest where they find great homes and lead better lives. I would keep him myself but I just don't have the room. Don't get me wrong, Rex is a great dog! I just think he deserves more space and a place that actually has a yard.
Fortunately, Rex was adopted just a few days after being put in the program! Usually the program puts the dogs they transport in kennels on a big bus which then drives them all to their new homes, but unfortunately Rex HATES being kenneled. I mean, he goes berserk. I worried about him making that 3 day journey in a cage while scared and going out of his mind. I know that kind of stress and trauma wouldn't be good for him or his new owners. So! I volunteered to drive him to his new home myself! That's right my buddy and I are going on a short road trip. Rex and Tex!
Driving across the country can get pricey so I am asking for your support. If you could contribute to this GoFundMe and share it, I would greatly appreciate it. Any size donation will help cover the rental car, gas, and motels to get this good boy to his new home. And! Donations over $50 will get a free Doomsday Wrestling T-Shirt! Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer them! Thanks!
