I’m Mason Jones, and over the past few weeks, I've been actively involved in organizing protests and community discussions, as well as attending Bunbury council meetings to support a motion concerning the proposed wind farm and its potential environmental impacts, which have been largely overlooked.

After that meeting, I took a step back to reflect on how we, as individuals, can make a difference. We have a passionate diving community, access to boats, cameras, and GPS devices—so why not start our own research? I’ve connected with Hon Rod Caddies MLC, who has generously offered to contribute $2,000 towards this effort, which speaks volumes about the importance of our cause.

It's crucial that we protect the limestone reefs off our coast. In the cooler waters at depths of 25 meters and beyond, you can find stunning blade coral, which provides vital habitats for marine life, including our precious Western Australian crayfish which hang out in the open. The health and vibrancy of these coral reefs are truly remarkable.

We’re reaching out to ask for donations of any amount. All funds raised will go directly towards researching the reef system. This will cover expenses for boats, diving experiences, equipment for documentation, and professional analysis from a marine biologist, allowing us to publish our findings.
