Located at 306 13th St. In the heart of downtown Oakland, the Wolfe Den is a new hub for arts in culture in the Bay Area founded by artist and creative director Rachel Wolfe-Goldsmith.
The Wolfe Den is a multi-functional space with programming focused on giving prolific artists a leg-up in the competitive art world. Creative workshops will cover figure drawing, mural arts, digital design, NFTs and Web3 literacy, and more. Professional skills workshops will focus on developing artist statements and bios, websites, contract negotiations, marketing, and how to establish rates for your creative services.
The Wolfe Den will also be available for hourly and daily rentals for the community at large, with an emphasis on financial accessibility to black, brown, LGBTQ, and local Oakland residents.
The main gallery room will have rotating shows bringing the finest underground and established talent together. Self-taught and marginalized artists like myself have a hard time getting their first solo shows or finding galleries and curators who see value in our work. My mission is to break the glass ceilings that prevent people from getting the opportunities they deserve in a clean, professional, and reputable venue.
