Help get Randy Huber back in business!!

Hi everyone!

We’re looking to raise funds to help our father Randy recoup his losses after his van and most of the belongings within it were stolen last weekend. Luckily the van was recovered in the last few days after being missing for a week. The gas line was cut and the inside was trashed with almost everything of value missing. Our dad has his own mobile personal training business, and without a working van or the equipment inside of it our dad cannot make a living. His focus is on helping people who are cancer survivors, in recovery after a stroke or have Parkinson’s and they need his crucial care as soon as possible. This was a huge setback and we need your help to get him back in business.

Our dad lives on far more modest means than many of his Marin neighbors and this ordeal has been a major financial and emotional setback. He was just beginning to regain his footing after suffering health setbacks and having his business be severely hindered by the pandemic We're looking to raise the funds to pay for the repairs, missing belongings, and a week's worth of funds lost due to the inability to work.

Randy graduated from Colorado State University in 1978 with a degree in exercise science and K-12 physical education and has been in the fitness industry ever since. He has coached youth basebal, basketballl and football as a volunteer for 47 years and has spent the last 20 years training young athletes. Dozens of people he has coached throughout the years still stay in contact with him and tell him how profound of an impact he’s had in their lives.

He has also developed a prolific video practice which documents his training but also includes highlights of high school athletes. He has helped many of them connect with recruiters and earn scholarships to NCAA programs. He has also shifted his main focus to helping cancer survivors, Parkinson’s patients and stroke victims recover and maintain a higher quality of life. His goal, which he’s almost reached, is to reach year number 50 of training!

In 2004, Randy left everything behind in Colorado to be closer to his kids and moved to Marin, where he had never before been and knew no one. While he has often struggled to find solid financial footing in the most wealthy and expensive county in the country he has always remained positive, resilient, and steadfast in his goal of improving people’s lives. He has fostered long-lasting relationships with countless people through his work training.

To know my father is to love him and to the hundreds of people whose lives he has touched over the years he needs no introduction. If you've spent even five minutes with this man you'd know how special he is. Platitudes don't get you very far but he truly is the most selfless and deeply caring person we’ve ever known.

As he often says "I am third," after his family and friends. This is a daily practice for him and gives everything he has to his family, friends, and the clients he loves. His passion and life's work are to help people improve their lives and reach their ultimate potential. He is so humble and almost never asks for help, so we are doing it for him! We are hoping that this community that Randy has fostered and loves so much will find it in their hearts to pay it forward and help us get him back into shape!

Thank you for reading and helping us get Randy back on his feet!

Love,

Zach and Alex

“We all have those people in our lives who we know are our cheerleaders. They are rooting for your success and willing to do their part to make sure you get there. Randy Huber is definitely one of those people for so many. I have known Randy for 14yrs and he has had such a positive impact on my life. From watching him have so much pride and joy in being a dad, to seeing him in his element as an athletic trainer, and in how his clients are never just clients, but actually become a part his of his family. He is an amazing human.
Unfortunately, bad things happen to good people. On Saturday night, while housesitting with his grand-Kitty Suki, Randy’s car got stolen in San Francisco. With it, they stole all of his equipment for his mobile athletic training business. His livelyhood. Please consider donating to help this amazing human, and the ultimate cheerleader, move forward in rebuilding his business. He needs to get a car and replace his equipment so he can keep doing what he loves while making others lives better.”

“Randy has been a dear friend of mine for the last 15 years. He has the most generous heart, has tremendous compassion and a strong desire in helping other’s become the best version of themselves!

As the years have progressed, I’ve developed a deeper sense of admiration for Randy. His strength, earnest concern and loyalty to his family and friends is unparalleled!

Randy is a gifted, self employed physical trainer and physical therapist. He has a wide spectrum of clients from training elite athletes to working with challenging clients with chronic health issues such as Parkinson’s, Lyme disease, and others who need rehabilitation from injuries.

He needs help, and I feel it’s our responsibility (humbly) to give him a hand (financially), so he can get back to training which is his soul source of income. Randy is a remarkable man, and I feel blessed he is my friend. I hope you’ll consider a donation.”

“I’ve been working with Randy for nearly 3 years and feel blessed to have such a wonderful personal trainer. Randy is a true gentleman: honest, selfless, caring and thoughtful. Not only I get on-demand customized approach to each of my training session, we also get to have fun along the way and meaninful conversations. Randy has pure heart, deep values and passion for helping people to feel their best. So grateful for having you in my life Randy!”
