As many of you know, the June 9 storm uprooted a massive tree in my front yard, resulting in roof and porch damage, downed power lines and extensive interior electrical damage.  I've since learned that much of the electricity in my house is not up to code, so insurance won't cover much of those repairs, and almost none of the tree removal costs. 

Many friends have encouraged me to create a GoFundMe campaign to help me cover the repairs and out of pocket expenses, so here I am doing it. Though Allstate is not going to cover at least $13K, they have at least put me up in a nearby Residence Inn, so I am safe, I have my dog with me, and I can get to the house to feed the cats.

I am grateful to have so many friends; and so touched to learn how many wish to contribute.  God bless you all, and I will keep you updated here as events continue to unfold.
