Help get our short film over the line

A self funded short film, telling a pertinent tale of Dublin in its current climate, an important story that should resonate with us all.

THE PROJECT - I FOUND A PLACE
Written & Directed by: Zoë Gibney
Produced by: Jo Halpin

Seán has just moved up to Dublin from a small rural town. Entrepreneurial, he has a plan for a great start up, he just needs to catch a break. But things are not going to plan, rents in a city that are spiralling out of control and a family who can’t afford to support him, Seán has to make things work for himself.
Fake it until you make it, that’s what he keeps telling himself. But to what end? and how far is he willing to go to cover his shame?

Zoë Gibney grew up immersed in Irish film and theatre communities. With 25 years experience in the film industry, both in front of and behind camera, Zoë has cultivated a unique perspective on story telling. Often focusing on stories of our time, Zoë explores cultural and societal issues through moments in an individual's lifetime.

After a lengthy process I Found A Place received a small amount of funding from Screen Ireland and Virgin Media for script development and now, with your help, we'd love to get Zoë's first film onto screen!
We've already put in place an amazing, very experienced crew eager to help us get this piece made.
In return for their generous contribution we'd love to offer them more than just a ham or cheese sandwich!
And produce a high quality short film with an edit and score it deserves.
If you can help us achieve that in any way big or small we'd be eternally grateful!
