On July 23, 2026, our dad, Anderson Infante, was detained by ICE during a traffic stop in Pompano Beach, Florida. During the stop, two officers asked him for proof of residency or U.S. citizenship. Dad repeatedly asked why he was being detained, struggling to understand what was happening, but they still did not give him a reason. The agents took his wallet to look for identification and instructed him to step out of the car and have someone pick up his keys. Confused and unable to understand everything being said, he was removed from the vehicle by force and against his will.

Our dad came to the United States eight years ago and has always been a hard-working, law-abiding citizen, but more importantly a loving husband, and devoted father of 3 daughters, and the provider and head of our household. Everything he has done has been to provide a better life for our family. He has always put us first, and now we are trying to do everything we can to be there for him.

He is currently in ICE custody at the Miramar processing facility but we have very little information about where they plan top move him next. His wrongful arrest has left our family shocked, heartbroken, and uncertain about what to do next but we know time is of the essence.

We are now working to secure experienced immigration representation for my dad which is proving to be more expensive than we can afford. In addition to legal fees, we are carrying the financial responsibilities of maintaining our household while my dad is unable to be home with us.

We created this fundraiser because we truly need our community’s support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward:
