Though she is on the gorgeous Garden Island of Kauai, Hawaii, for poor little Lucy, life has not exactly been Paradise.  Her people dumped her at a shelter when she went blind, and she was set to be euthanized.  Thankfully the Kauai SPCA stepped in, rescued her and placed her with a wonderful foster family.  

Sadly no one had any idea how much neglect this poor girl had suffered and it took some pretty expensive surgery to get her fixed up.  She had severe dental disease with multiple tooth root abscesses that had gone untreated for so long the infection  had invaded her sinuses.  And as if that’s not enough: she needed to have one of eyes removed because it was causing her severe pain.  

Happily Lucy is all patched up now, she’s healthy and — best of all — she has a family in Texas who want to adopt her!  We just need to raise funds to help pay off her vet bills and her airplane tickets for travel.   Please consider helping us get the sweet, loving, SO DESERVING little old dachshund to the loving home she so very much deserves.  No donation too small.  Mahalo for helping!
