My name is Nykky and due to a domestic abuse situation, I was left homeless at the beginning of this year and have been living out of my car for the past 8 months. As a young trans woman in a big city, I have had to spend this time relying on nightlife and sex work to survive, to get food, keep my hormones, or to just have a bed for a night.

I haven't really shared much of my story publicly because I haven't wanted it to effect my relationships and my ability to find work and housing but after almost a year of desperately looking for jobs just to never even get an interview or a chance at work and having to endure the things that sex work does to a person, I have been pushed to the point of no other option than to seek mutual aid and community support.

Thankfully there is a light at the end of the tunnel as I have finally been given the opportunity to move into an apartment. Because I have been struggling to find consistent work, I am in need of some mutual aid to help make sure I can cover the move-in expenses and also help make sure I can have a bed to sleep on and food to eat when I do get there.
