Hi my son's name is James. He is 9 years old and has Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, DMD ,which now has him using a wheelchair most of the time.

Duchennes muscular dystrophy is a terminal and debilitating disease that affects James's life on a daily basis. He needs help with daily tasks that you and I wouldnt think twice about. He needs help to go from a sitting to standing position, assistance with walking and needs extra help with mobility at home and at school.

He was diagnosed at the age of 2 and he remains happy and cheerful even though his future will be filled with hard times and medical assistance as he ages. Duchennes affects every muscle in the body and he attends appointments regularly with consultants to monitor how he's doing/coping. He will soon be in an electrical wheelchair permanently and requires a wheelchair accessible van. He loves going out exploring new places and for me to bring him out on days out in the future, I will need a van suitable for him.

He enjoys going to car ,tractor and truck shows,seeing historical places around Ireland, he also has a love for vehicles and enjoys seeing tractors,trains and transport around the country.Any donations will greatly be appreciated,no donation is too small and every little donation will help us achieve this for James.
