Help Get Nat & Sera to the Global Peace Forum!

Hello comrades! Natalie here, Sera-Jade and I have been invited to the Global Peace Forum on Korea to be held in September in New York City. Its a private annual event with many academics and politicians, and its even expected this year that representatives of both the north and south of Korea will be in attendance, I'm sure you can already see why this is something we are extremely interested in attending. We hope to listen and learn a lot from the forum as well as make whatever appropriate contributions to discussions that we can offer from a resolutely anti-imperialist pro-peace perspective. We also see this as an excellent opportunity to echo the voices of progressive Americans who wish to see a full withdrawal of U.S. forces and the long-sought reunification of the Korean nation. Particularly at this juncture when negotiations have stalled due to the provocations and unwillingness to sincerely negotiate by the U.S., we hope to hear what both sides have to say on the current situation, absorb this insight, and be able to give a better and more informed line on these issues in support of peace and reconciliation.
Obviously this is a *really* big honor and not something we take lightly, but unfortunately neither of us make the kind of money necessary for travel and especially not basically halfway across the country, so its honestly a little intimidating to me. While both of us are going to be putting in significant money and effort of our own, it simply would not be enough to attend. We know this is a very big favor to ask of comrades and so we've cut the budget as tight as we could and are making certain that we are going with the cheapest options available to us.
Here is a very rough breakdown of what specifically this money is being spent on, we have looked into these expenses so we have a ballpark idea of what it will be but it could obviously be a tiny bit higher or (ideally) a tiny bit lower than what we expect.
Airfare To & From NYC: $500
Car Rental: $350
Lodgings in NYC: $300
Food & Water: $50
For a total of $1,200.
Goes without saying, we'll be taking plenty of pictures and things for you comrades so you can see what we were up to!
