My name is makayla Kellogg, I’m a competitive snowboarder from mammoth lakes, CA I traveled out to Australia to train for 3 weeks and unfortunately had a bad crash on the airbag on week one. I’ve been in the hospital for almost 48 hours now with not many answers on what to do. I have a burst L1 fracture and dr says I’m lucky I’m not paralyzed. I haven’t been able to try to walk yet but hopefully today. Not sure if I need surgery or not yet either. I’m all alone in a hospital in Australia and we’re trying to get my dad out here that way he can help me through all of this and be here if I need surgery and help me get home. A round trip non stop flight from LA is around $3,500 since it’s so last minute. And that doesn’t include a rental car, or a place to stay. These medical bills also are going to be at an all time high but I’ll figure that part out later. If you’re able to help out it would mean so much to us! Thank you guys for your time reading this.
