Please Help Get My Baby Out Of This Horrible Place

Hello my name is Ashley-Rose. It took a lot to do this, nor did I want to have to put this information out there but I’m honestly at a loss & out of options. As many people know my 2 year old son is in a medical facility with 24 hour nursing, he has a brain injury which means he is immobile, he doesn’t walk or talk. In the couple months he’s been there, there’s been multiple occasions he has been mistreated & sustained injuries. Because of COVID, there’s no visitation & I’m not allowed inside the facility. The first occasion a couple months ago, I was called because my sons heart rate was high & it wouldn’t go down so they had him brought to the hospital. I rushed there, & we ended up finding out while in the ER my son had 3 fractures to his right leg that had already started healing themselves. How was he injured while in the care of “medical professionals”???? How does someone cause not 1, not 2 but THREE fractures to a 2 year olds leg & not speak up???? You can most definitely hear a bone break. My son doesn’t move so there’s no way he caused the fractures upon himself. He also doesn’t speak or cry so there’s no way for him to show he’s hurt. An investigation was done by Broward SVU with no outcome because the facility wouldn’t release video footage because of confidentiality for other patients in the nursery. The 2nd occasion was about 3 weeks ago, (my son is fed via G-J Tube) a nurse called me to tell me my son was being brought to the hospital because as she was changing him, she ripped out his feeding tube, which mind you goes not only though the stomach but small intestine as well. When I arrived at the hospital, I noticed a very big blister on my sons toes that clearly progressed over time. The doctor drained it & bandaged it. But it continued to swell. When I reached out to what’s supposed to be my sons “care manager” hours after being in the hospital, she wasn’t even aware my son was in the hospital, wasn’t aware his feeding tube was pulled out, wasn’t aware of what happened to his toes. Just like the fractures, nobody knows what caused the blisters. My son had to have surgery the next morning to put his feeding tube back in, & the blisters also started getting worse & antibiotic cream wasn’t working so they tried burn cream & it helped tremendously. Last occasion was a couple days later, we had to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon before getting fitted for his custom wheelchair & found out his right hip was dislocated. I reached out to the abuse hotline & there is now another ongoing investigation for all of this but I need to get him out of there ASAP. He needs to be transported by medical van to be transferred. For months I’ve been trying to get our insurance to cover him being moved & because it’s not “medically necessary” they won’t. I even tried changing insurance plans but I’m still getting nowhere. Transportation & transfer to the new facility is extremely expensive & unfortunately I can’t afford it in full right now or he would be out in a heartbeat. I’m at a loss, I really need to get my baby out of this place where these people are causing harm until I can bring him home. Our biggest fear as parents is someone mistreating our children when we aren’t around & this is truly a nightmare. As much as I hate to admit it I need help. I know this is a long shot but absolutely anything anyone can do is greatly appreciated, whether it be a share or a donation. Please help me get my baby out of this horrible place.
