Help Get Me To Sundance and Beyond
Hey everyone!
So VERY big news related to 'Severus Snape and The Marauders', the critically-acclaimned film that I had the pleasure of starring in this year. The movie has been selected to screen in IndieLounge, one of the many events at the Sundance Film Festival (one of the biggest film festivals in the world). After over 2 1/2 years with this project, traveling the country, meeting with fans, and recieving steller reviews from from international publications, THIS feels like the big finale in the films tour. Sundance is not only a prestigious place to show off the movie but it's also an AMAZING opportunity to meet the right people and move my career in the direction it needs to go so I can continue to bring new stories to life for you all to enjoy.
With such an incredible opportunity, it would be foolish to not take full advantage of the event and try to network as much as possible. I intend to work myself to the bone to make sure I shake the hands of every person I hope to collaborate with. But here's the truth: getting to Sundance is expensive. And, financially, it would be extremely difficult to make my way out there. 'Severus Snape and The Marauders' is something I couldn't be prouder of. With nearly two million views and counting, I read the comment section every day and am touched by the people it continues to inspire. But, this being a non-profit fan film, it hasn't put a dime in any of our pockets and I've mostly paid to go to conventions and screenings so I could meet all of you wonderful fans. Normally I wouldn't think of starting a campaign like this but, needless to say, getting to this festival is extremely important for me and the future of my career. So I'm reaching out to all of you for help.
All funds raised in this campaign would go towards travel expenses, my festival ticket, lodging, food, etc. Everything I would need to get the most out of Sundance. I will be posting as much as possible, each step of the way, so you can all be there with me. $1000 is the minimum I'd estimate needing for the trip, but any extra will go in to a fund meant specifically for furthering my career in the New Year.
Thank you all!
