Hi, my name is Matt. Thank you for reading my story.

I have been selected for the GB Lions ball hockey squad competing in the European Masters Cup in Kladno, Czechia. The tournament takes place on the 8th-9th August 2025. In this tournament GB will be competing against some of the best players to have ever played ball hockey, which makes this a fantastic opportunity to grow this amazing sport.

After sustaining a serious back injury four years ago, I never thought I would be able to carry on playing, let alone representing my country. This is a huge honour and dream to be selected and be apart of.

As ball hockey is an amateur sport we receive no funding of any kind, meaning this tournament is all self funded. Due to this I am looking for some support to help with the costs of flights, accomodation and kit for this tournament, also available is individual protective equipment sponsorship (please message for further info). Any help, no matter how big or small would be really appreciated.
