Hi, I’m Caleb. I’m 24 years old and unfortunately I was hit by a dump truck in Jackson Hole, Wyoming causing several physical and mental injuries. I decided to take a trip from Austin to Montana to clear my mind from all the bad things going on in my life these days. The last thing I would have expected would happen on this trip is to have lasting trauma of my favorite pastime, motorcycling. For anyone who doesn’t know, I was riding along the Teton Pass descending into the city when all of a sudden, I felt a huge metallic crash. I slid down the mountain feeling my head pound the asphalt and my bones crunching with every impact. Thankfully, I survived, all because I hade the proper gear on and had been riding safely in accordance with traffic laws. Unfortunately, this runaway truck had passed the runaway truck crash gates located just a few seconds behind us. That decision has left several people dead.. and the rest of us lasting trauma and physical injury. He didn’t even honk his horn to warn me. I had no options to avoid this horrific accident. I’m now in medical debt and without clothes, transportation, and without the ability to walk in one of the most expensive zip codes in the United States. If you would like, I set up this gofundme to help me get back home and get back on my feet. Any donation is greatly greatly appreciated:) As much trauma I have suffered over this past 24 hours and as much pain I am in, the friendliness of this community is something I will always carry with me. Thanks Jackson!
