Hello everyone and Happy New Year!

This year is starting out strong with a healthy dose of vet bills, rent increases, and a sped up moving plan.

I'm making this GoFundMe for my partner Maverick to try and help soften the blow that the cost of moving is going to make. Mav has lived in Austin the past few years and it has gotten harder and harder to afford, even with a full-time job, a side job, and constant art commissions.

With a non-negotiable increase in rent that put him $300 over what his unit goes for new and a garbage job market, we're moving up the date to February because he can not afford to live out the rest of the lease. This does however mean he has to drop 2 months of rent to break his lease, but it's better than paying for 7 more.

However, while saving, a certain very cute and very dumb orange tabby pictured above decided she didn't need to eat to live. She was, in fact, incorrect in this decision. After not eating anything for a couple days and drastic weight loss, a very expensive visit to the vet helped her remember that she in fact does need to eat. Peewee is once again enjoying life with a full belly, but she has no idea all of the moving funds went to her.

The bills we know to expect are as follows:

(2) Months of Rent: $2,790

Moving Truck: $1,050

Gas (Car & Truck): $560

I'm setting the goal of this GoFundMe to $2,000 because asking for help at all is already hard, but financially this is the best option long term. With my work discounts through the mouse I have been able to knock off a few hundred from the cost, but it's still going to suck.
