Meet Lucy: 70 pounds of pure love, sass, and the physical prowess of a baked potato. She’s everyone’s favorite spud— soft, comforting, and occasionally found loafing on the couch like she’s auditioning for a butter commercial.
Recently, Lucy tore her ACL, likely while couch launching on the unsuspecting. Now she needs surgery to get back to her full potato potential- “tatotential” if you will. Estimated cost? $5000 - $6,000.
Her mom, Jen (human, endlessly generous, emotionally tethered to Lucy), and her brother Lincoln (human, 9 years old, big eyes, bigger smile, biggest heart), are doing everything they can to help Lucy heal. But they need a little help from Lucy’s fan club- which includes you.
Why Lucy Deserves Your Help:
- She has never met a stranger— just future belly rubbers.
- She recently discovered the joy of swimming — aka floating like a soggy potato in Jen’s arms while looking deeply serene.
- She mends hearts like no other.
- She is the bestest momma to her hedgehog (don’t ask about the octopus).
The Damage:
- ACL surgery: $5,000-$6,000
- Emotional toll of watching Lucy limp: incalculable
- Number of stuffed octopi rejoicing: infinite
- Lucy’s dignity while floating in the pool: TBD
