Help get Lucie home

Hi, my name is Lucie Horvathova. My friends helped me to set up this Go Fund Me page to help with the costs of getting my beautiful daughter's body repatriated to the Czech Republic.

On Sunday August 18th, my beloved daughter, also named Lucie, passed away.

It has been a devastating time for me and my son Michael (11), Lucie's brother.

Losing Lucie has come after suddenly and unexpectedly losing my partner, Ludvik, on the 3rd of June.

We knew Lucie only had a short time left with us, so I had saved money in preparation for bringing her home to the Czech Republic, however these funds were put towards Ludvik's journey instead.

Now I must again face the process of repatriation, bringing Lucie home only weeks after Ludvik. The costs associated with this process are in the region of €5,000. Lucie will be laid to rest beside her beloved grandmother in the Czech Republic.

Lucie had just turned 17 in May. All through her lifetime, Lucie has had a team of people including family, friends, teachers, caregivers and supporters who have had the honour and pleasure of being part of our family journey over the years and getting to know what made Lucie smile - she loved music, in particular Beyonce, she loved all things Disney and loved cosy blankets and clothes that made her feel beautiful. She didn't like having her hair brushed, but did love the end result.

Most of all, she loved her family - and we loved her and we were dedicated to her every day of her life.

Please help us to lay Lucie to rest beside her beloved grandmother.
