Help Get Liam to Tanglewood
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
As many of you know, I'm so excited to announce that I've been selected to attend the Boston University Tanglewood Institute this summer as a violist. This is a huge honor that I've worked very hard for over the past few years, and I'm looking forward to spending six weeks at Tanglewood learning how to become the best violist I can be.
Tuition for the program is steep, unfortunately, and over the years my parents have put most of their "extra" money into making sure I've had all the tools I needed to get to this point -- lessons, camps, instruments, RIPYO tuition, and of course all the things that go with it, like bow re-hairs and strings (special shout out to Mr. McCarten for all the bow hairs over the years!). They're committed to doing whatever they can to make sure I get to Tanglewood this summer, but it's not always easy to come up with every last dollar. We've always tried hard as a family to not ask for financial help because we know how fortunate we are. But it would help so much if we had a little boost from our friends and family to help make this summer's tuition a little more affordable for us.
I know not everyone can give, and that's okay. I also know there's a lot happening in the world right now, and if it's a choice between helping me get to Tanglewood and helping someone in Ukraine, no question -- please help others first. But if there's anything in your "rainy day" fund that you feel comfortable donating, I'd be so grateful. The support and love of my whole community has been a big part of what got me to this point in my dreams. I appreciate anything you can give.
With SO MUCH gratitude for all of you,
Liam
