Help Get Julianne Back On Her Feet
Donation protected
You never think you're going to be that person asking for help. But life comes at you fast, and we live in a society that provides few resources to help those of us who need a bit of help getting back on our feet.
On August 3 2019, while working as a runner for the Outside Lands Music Festival, my daughter Julianne Merino was robbed. Thieves busted the windows to her rental van, and took her bag containing everything she was traveling with — clothes, medication, laptop, and much more.
Upon trying to replace the medication she was traveling with, Julianne found out her health insurance had been cancelled due to a billing error. Unable to obtain steroids, she began to experience Topical Steroid Withdrawal, a little-known condition that causes devastating breakouts, to the point that it can be difficult to work or sleep.
When it rains, it pours. This has been, in her own words, the most difficult month of Julianne's life. With humility and gratitude, we are turning to our community for just a bit of help in getting her back on her feet. We are hoping to raise funds to replace her laptop at the very least, so she can resume doing freelance graphic design work and have some income during this healing period.
Any additional funds will go towards her health care. We won't get into the details here, other than to say TSW is a terrifying, often debilitating condition that can take months to recover from.
