Everyone meet Joseph!
He is 9 years old and has been dancing since he was 3 and he is so dedicated, passionate and just lives to dance. He has been dancing competitively since he was 5 and this year, after a successful audition in November, received the news that he he has qualified for the DANCE WORLD CUP FINALS DUBLIN 2026!
He has been selected as a soloist, qualifying an amazing 3 routines, to represent TEAM ENGLAND and of course his absolutely incredible dance school DLG.
This really has been a dream of his and we are so proud of his work ethic, ambition, talent and dedication to his art.
Joseph is a classic and shining example of never letting anything stand in the way of you and your dreams. He's not had it easy by any means, those that know him, know the difficulties he faces every day with ADHD and currently under investigation for Tourettes syndrome. Some days are harder than others and some days he feels utterly defeated, but there has always been one constant in his life, and that's his passion for dancing. A good friend once said ' one day, this will be his superpower' and it's so true, he's well on his way to achieving exactly that. He is extremely lucky to have two INCREDIBLE dance teachers, Kaci and Dannii, who see him for who he is beyond his diagnosis and give him the tools he needs to power through and show the world that absolutely nothing can hold him back.
Everywhere he goes we are told what a special dancer he is, and he's slowly starting to believe it himself. This achievement of reaching these prestige finals have hugely helped with his self belief. This is huge for him.
He is one of the most humble children, and that shows every single time he wins an award. His face lights up, with shock, excitement and almost disbelief, what me? Really? Every achievement is massive for him.
So what do we need from you?
As you can imagine, a competition of this magnitude has a lot of costs involved. Uniform, travel, accomodation, rehearsals etc. The costs mount up so very fast. We are not what would be considered a well off family but we will absolutely move heaven and earth to get our amazing son to these finals, to dance on a world stage, to show the world exactly who he is.
He has worked so hard for this so we are asking if you could please help by donating what ever you can to help get him there.
We understand times are hard for everyone right now but honestly every little helps and every single donation will help get this little boy to live his dreams.
Thank you so much for reading this, and thank you in advance for any donations, truely from the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful.
