Medical Transport expenses for Grandma Jean from Florida to Rhode Island
My mom, Jean Nadeau, is currently suffering from congestive heart failure, end-stage lung disease and COPD. We are also waiting for results to determine if she also has a cancer diagnosis (Prayers that she does not!) Doctors have given her approximately 6 months to live. Therefore, she will no longer be able to live on her own. As her daughter, I am ready and willing to provide the care and advocacy my mother needs.
Unfortunately, I live in Rhode Island and cannot stay in Florida to care for my mother because I am just 5 weeks out from my own lung cancer surgery. I am delaying my care long enough to get my mother back to Rhode Island where her large, extended family lives and can help care for her. But I need to resume my medical care as soon as I can so I am there for my children and grandchildren in the future as well.
Jean needs her family to be her advocate as she navigates life in a nursing home/rehab care center. Therefore, we are looking to hire a medical transport company to transport Jean from her nursing home in Florida to one in Rhode Island near her family. Once I get her home, I can resume my own cancer treatment and ensure my mother is receiving the care she needs.
Jean is a beloved widow, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many people. She can always make others laugh and embraced the life of devotion and dedication to her family and friends. Jean has a spirit unlike any other and her family is ready and willing to provide support she needs. It is hard for Jean to leave her independence and her own home, but necessary for her to do so at this time.
In addition, due to her multiple stays in the hospital and all of the procedures and medicines that are required to give her a fighting chance, the family is also asking, if you feel so inclined, for help in her medical expenses. Jean’s insurance has not covered all of her medical treatments and hospital stays. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
