Jake is 17 years old , living with cerebral palsy, which affects all 4 limbs and his speech , Jake is a full time wheelchair user and wants to become as independent as possible . To reach his goals in life Jake has been offered a place at Treloars college Hampshire, where he will learn essential life skills and study at the same time . Treloars is a residential college and will be a life changing experience for him . 

the local Authority are refusing to fund
Jakes time at Treloars, so we are in the process of a legal battle against them .  There are no other colleges in our area that can meet Jakes needs , he needs intense daily Physio integrated into his study day , along with speech and language input and of course the all important life skills of learning how to dress himself , deal with his personal care and be with peers with similar issues. 

taking the Local Authority to a tribunal is expensive , we have already spent £2500 on individual reports for evidence of Jakes physical and mental health needs , a Lawyer to represent us is double that . 

Jake was due to start Treloars in September 2020, our court date is 11th November 2020, so he will already have missed a term of education , with nowhere else to go.
