Help get Jacob Wallace on the road to recovery

Hello! My name is Lakyn Wallace. On January 14, 2025, Jacob Wallace, a devoted father of six and a hardworking diesel mechanic, was involved in a catastrophic car accident in Tuscumbia, AL, off Highway 72 near the front of the FAME building. While driving, Jacob swerved into the median to avoid a minivan that pulled out in front of him. His vehicle flipped multiple times, and he was ejected from the car (his seat belt failed to lock), sustaining life-threatening injuries.

Jacob’s injuries are extensive and include: broken wrists, a broken hip (just had surgery), fractures in his lower back (just had surgery), skull fractures with slight swelling, and a lacerated kidney and spleen (healing on their own at the moment).

Jacob is currently in the ICU, where he is stable but in immense pain. His road to recovery will be long and grueling, with multiple surgeries, rehabilitation, and months—if not longer—out of work.

Jacob has always been a strong and selfless provider for his family. Alongside caring for his six children, he has also supported his father, who is battling cancer and unable to work like before.

Without insurance, the financial burden of his medical care is overwhelming. Jacob’s family is facing significant expenses, including medical bills for surgeries, hospital stays, and rehabilitation, day-to-day living costs as he recovers and is unable to work, as well as support for his children during this challenging time.

Jacob has always worked hard to support his family, but now, he needs our help. Any donation, big or small, will help cover the costs of his care and allow his family to focus on supporting him through his recovery.
