Help Get Internal to Edinburgh Fringe!

Imagine... being shy, yet outspoken. Being terrified, yet unafraid. Feeling like it's all too much, yet never getting enough. Imagine... living in two different worlds at once.

Internal tells the story of a crippingly shy 20-something named Melanie. Melanie has always shied away from showing the world who she really is and is ready to finally be herself. When she gets overwhelmed with her life, she transports to an alternate universe in her mind where she can be bold and brave... and do burlesque. Too long has she spent on the sidelines watching others succeed at their dreams. She knows she deserves just as much and she's ready to mesh her two worlds. Join us as we follow Melanie on her journey to finding her voice and along the way, her self worth.

Internal is a new original 45-minute one-woman play written and performed by Canadian theatre artist Tania Tuusa, presented by her theatre company, Banana Peel Theatre Co.

Banana Peel is a new Liverpool based theatre company dedicated to sharing authentic portrayals of humanity in an ap-peel-ing way. Banana Peel Theatre Co. is founded and run by myself, Tania Tuusa. I am a multi-disciplinary performance artist from the Toronto area in Canada and have recently completed my MA in Acting (Company) at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts.

In 2022, we had the opportunity to tour our debut show 'Internal' at various fringe festivals around the UK and had the best time. Previous venues and festivals included: The Unity Theatre in Liverpool, Manchester Fringe, Liverpool Fringe, Watford Fringe, and Camden Fringe. After a brief hiatus, we are excited to take our show to Edinburgh this summer and share it with new audiences, but we need your help to get there! As a Canadian artist living and working in the UK, it would mean so much to me to have the opportunity to have my show seen by international audiences at such a renowned festival.

Any donations would be used to go towards covering accommodation and travel fees to get to and from Edinburgh. Thank you so much and we can't wait to see you this summer in Edinburgh!
