Help Get Ian His MFA Abroad
Donation protected
After years and years of hard work and dedication I have been accepted to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. Getting my MFA at my dream school is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it’s made all the more special to me given my personal history. Unfortunately, I never finished my BFA course and for a long time that haunted me(and still greatly disappoints me). But my desire to continue my educational journey never left me. This meant that my path was going to be difficult but I started applying to a variety of universities and conservatories that offered programs masters programs for students who had enough work in the field. Through all my hardships that was the one thing I never gave up on: The Theatre. It’s saved my life more than once and I owe it everything I am. So I threw my coin into the wishing well and left it at that. After a couple of years nothing bore fruit. But now this spring the opportunity I had long day dreamt about at work had presented itself. The school or location isn’t what makes it rare to me, but the possibility to better my self and give myself an opportunity at a stable career while teaching my daughter that hard work and dedication can carry you where you need to go. I’m SO grateful for this acceptance offer. But it won’t be easy. I’ll get to work with some of the best teaching artists in the world and I’m BEYOND excited for that however I’ll be alone in another country and no matter how exciting that it may be it certainly won’t be cheap. I don’t have a lot of money to fund this entire endeavor snd every penny I have is going into it. I’ve applied for loans and I’ll be working every day towards securing the funding needed to get myself over there. Every single dollar counts though and I would be eternally grateful towards all of my friends, family, theatre community and kind samaritans who can donate to help me make this dream come true. Thank you all so very very much!
