I’m fundraising on behalf of my lovely friend Gemma and her beautiful dog Huxley, who is currently fighting through an incredibly tough time. Huxley recently underwent emergency abdominal surgery to remove part of a tennis ball that was lodged in his intestines, this has since led to serious complications including pancreatitis and severely bruised, inflamed bowel and intestines. This all happened while he was already battling a painful bacterial infection in his paw.

This is Huxley’s second abdominal surgery in just 15 months, and sadly his recovery has been slow so far. He remains at the vets and is not yet able to eat on his own, he is currently receiving nutrition through an IV drip.

The vet costs are increasing by approximately $1,000 every 12 hours, with the bill already sitting at around $12,000 and Huxley will need to remain at the vets for a while longer yet.
