Help Young Aussie Bull Rider Hunter Dagan Reach His Dream – The World Rodeo Finals in Texas! As a very proud Aunty, I’ve set this up to help raise funds for Hunter.

Meet Hunter Dagan, a determined young cowboy from Gympie, Queensland, who’s chasing a big dream — to ride in the World Rodeo Finals in Texas in 2026!

Hunter’s love for rodeo began when he was just 7 years old, back in 2023. After watching his Uncles, Hunter began to teach himself how to ride. What started as a weekend hobby, has quickly become his biggest passion and way of life. Every weekend, you’ll find Hunter and his family travelling across the state to rodeos — rain, hail, or shine — all for the chance to do what he loves most: riding bulls and spending time with his mates.

Now, at just 9 years old, Hunter has achieved something truly incredible. He’s been selected to represent Australia with the Red Dirt Rodeo Team at the World Finals in Texas! He’s also the youngest rider on the Australian team — an amazing achievement for such a young cowboy.

In 2024, Hunter was proudly awarded the Encouragement Award for Most Improved, recognising his dedication, bravery, and the hard work he puts into every single ride.

When asked what he loves most about rodeo, Hunter says it’s “the thrill of getting on the bull and seeing my mates.”But he’ll also admit that the scariest part is “getting hung up and when they first open the latch to the chutes.” That mix of fear and excitement is what drives him to keep getting better every ride.

Representing Australia on the world stage is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Hunter — but getting there comes with big travel and equipment costs. Between flights, accommodation, entry fees, and transporting gear, it’s a huge financial challenge for a young family.

We’re asking for your help to get Hunter to Texas and give him the chance to live out his rodeo dream, proudly flying the Aussie flag at the 2026 World Rodeo Finals.
