Hayden was involved in a life changing accident while crossing the road to go into work in Lebanon, KY on February 4th, 2024. Hayden fractured his neck at level C4/C5, along with several other fractures on the right side of his body. The neck fracture resulted in a complete spinal cord injury and Hayden is now paralyzed from his sternum down and unable to move any of his limbs, resulting in requiring around the clock care and total assistance with all self care, feeding, etc.

Hayden spent 5 1/2 weeks in the Trauma ICU at UK on a ventilator before being transferred to Frazier Rehab in Louisville, where he spent an additional 4 weeks in inpatient therapy. Hayden is now home as of April 9th, 2024 but still has to travel to Frazier in Louisville 3 times a week for outpatient therapy to try and maximize his chances of recovery and regaining any form of mobility.

Our names are Jessica Dial and Summer Pittman. We are Hayden’s older sisters and we have started this GoFundMe in hopes to raise money for needed home modifications for hygiene and mobility needs (walk-in shower, wider door frames, etc.) and to help offset expense associated with travel to and from Louisville for therapy.
