Help get Gauge his first vehicle!

Hi everyone! I really tried to find other ways to do this, but resources for adaptive vehicles are non-existent in Colorado. This is for Gauge.
My son Gauge was born with a rare muscle condition called Congenital Myopathy, which is a fancy word for low muscle tone. He also was diagnosed with Type One Diabetes when he was four. He is such a champion with both conditions, and is very responsible with his insulin and pump and keeping his A1C down. With his Congenital Myopathy, he is also very diligent and works hard to strengthen his muscles by daily exercises and going to PT two times a week. He is the most amazing person I know. He is smart and funny and witty and charming and such a good person it makes me ache how good his heart is. No matter what he is faced with, he takes it all in stride and has the most positive attitude for everything. I aspire to be more like him everyday.
Gauge is 15 and learning how to drive. This is HUGE because having a license and a car will give him more freedom than he has right now. He's already limited on what he can do because of the chair, so having a reliable and adaptive vehicle would mean the world to us.
We don't ask for much. I've done everything I can to give him a beautiful life--as good as I can make it. But getting a vehicle and then also paying to have it modified to fit him is insanely expensive. More money than I could ever dream of having. There are foundations like make-a-wish and United Way that help people, but what I'm looking for, there is just no resources for it. So my last ditch effort to get him a car is this.
We're hoping to raise money to help us get a car that is already modified or to buy one and then have it modified. He just needs one that he can roll into, transfer to the driver's seat, and then lock the wheelchair in place. This car will not only be a vehicle for him, it will also give him some of that normal teenage life he so craves. Teaching him how to drive has been thrilling and seeing how much he loves it makes me want to give him his wings. He is driving so well already, it will just set my soul on fire to see him in a vehicle that will be modified to fit him. Granted, I am very terrified for my baby to be out in the world driving a vehicle, I would just love for him to know that kind of freedom.
Anything helps.
