Help Get Enzo to His FURever Home!

Great news! Enzo has been adopted after spending over TWO YEARS in the Taylor, Texas Animal Shelter. He has been in foster at the Lewis-Mejia household for the last two months, and through collective efforts, the perfect forever home has found him! The adopter, located in Pittsburgh, has spoken with Enzo’s foster family extensively, is aware of his needs, and is completely committed to loving Enzo for the rest of his days. Enzo’s adopter is personal friends with his foster family, so we know Enzo is going to a home that will provide him the sweet life that he deserves. But that means that Enzo has a long trip across the country from Texas to Pennsylvania! Enzo’s foster family is personally escorting him to his new home in Pittsburgh to ensure that he is as comfortable as possible on the trip, and that he experiences the least amount of stress as possible.

But we need YOUR help! Can you pitch in to help cover the cost of Enzo’s transport to his new FURever home?

A little more about Mr. Old Man Enzo, as his foster family lovingly calls him: Enzo is an older gentleman at an estimated 9 years old. Before ending up at the shelter, Enzo is believed to have been a “yard dog,” and not afforded the quality of life that he so deserves. While 9 years old may be considered elderly for a large boy like him, Enzo has the spirit of a puppy! Enzo is loved by every person who meets him. He loves greeting everyone – new and familiar alike – with big, sloppy kisses and a tail wag that moves his whole body. Anyone who knows him is perplexed as to why he has been at the shelter so long because he is an absolutely delightful, polite, quiet, cuddly, and all-around wonderful, good boy!! Now, Enzo is on his way to the perfect home that has been looking for him!

The fundraiser goal amount will cover the foster family’s expenses to transport Enzo to Pittsburgh at the end of August, as well as purchase the special crate Enzo needs in his new home. This covers things like the rental car, hotels, food, and gas. Any unused funds will be donated to Texas Critter Crusaders, the nonprofit that has been Enzo’s champion over the last few years. No donation is too small to help Enzo!
