Elijah has put in a lot of hard work this track season and has qualified for NATIONALS in Sacramento, CA, to compete in both the long jump and the 4x100 relay during the last week in July. Given this is the first year he's really competed in track, we never imagined he'd make it this far, but we should have known - when EJ has a goal in mind, he accomplishes it!!

We want to be able to provide him with this opportunity, but unfortunately, his team doesn't do a lot of fundraising so the finances for travel fall on the families, and as we said we never imagined this woudl happen! The fundraising the team does, in the form of all-comers meets, goes to the coaches for travel as they are all volunteer coaches and put so much time and effort into the youth all season long! And sometimes even in the off-season.

This GoFundMe goal will cover - travel, lodging, meals and miscellaneous expenses! We will be in Sacramento for a total of 5 days as he has one event on Thursday and another on Sunday. Any small amount will help! To give you an idea of what your contribution would cover:

$20 - covers entry for four people into the meet.

$50 - provides a cheap lunch for the family.

$100 - provides dinner for the family.

$150 - provides one day of car rental.

$250 - provides one night at a hotel/airbnb.
