I’m EIlidh and I am currently the top GB under 17 women’s Epee fencer.

I am travelling to Tbilisi in Georgia to represent GB in the Cadet European Championships at the end of February.

I have also been selected for the World Championships in Rio in April, and really need your support to get me there.

This season I became British Cadet (U17) and British Junior (U20) champion. I have had a really consistent season on the European circuit finishing in the top 10% against 150-400 of some of the world’s top competitors.

This has put me at the top of the GB rankings with over 50000 points- 20000 ahead of my nearest team mate.

But all this travelling doesn’t come cheap and is all entirely self funded! As well as all my training I am also studying for A levels but do as much waitress / catering work as I can fit in to help fund my training.

Last year I competed in the European champs in Turkey and was also selected for the Worlds Championships but as they were in China was unfortunately unable travel.

Rio is likely to cost me over £3k.
