I started this GoFundMe for Donny Shiflet. He attended the 2025 Sturgis motorcycle rally and was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. He rear-ended a truck and suffered a serious brain injury along with a broken back, shoulder, and some other minor injuries. Donny has been in and out of a coma since his accident on August 2nd. They need to get the bleeding on his brain to stop. Once that happens, they can try and bring him out of the coma and see what kind of damage was done.

As many of you know, Donny lives in Pennsylvania. His daughter has spent a week with him and needs to come back home. We were very lucky to find someone kind enough to pick up his bike and trailer it back to PA. Long after everyone is back home after the Sturgis rally, Donny will still be in the hospital, all alone. He has a long road ahead of him and he's going to need medical attention for a while.

The whole reason for starting this GoFundMe is to help get him back home. He has medical insurance to cover his medical bills, but his insurance will not cover to have him medevac back to PA. The estimated cost quoted was $35,000 - $40,000. His recovery will be difficult as it is. Put yourself in his shoes; would you like to go through a recovery and rehabilitation all alone 1,600 miles from family and friends? None of us would. I'm asking for your help to get enough money to medevac him back home as soon as he is stable enough and able to handle the transfer. Also to help with the expenses keeping his family with him so he is not alone in his recovery. Please, anything will help towards this huge bill. Please share this with as many people as possible. Every dollar will go to Donny's transfer back home and his recovery.
