Help Get Deb Home

*Update: After a long and difficult journey Deb has arrived in Tassie and she couldn't be happier! Deb is stranded in a Sydney hospital and we are trying to get her home to Tasmania to hug her children and grandchildren while she still can. Let's raise the money needed for her Medivac flight. After bravely battling cancer  for over 4 years away from her family Deborah Hay has only been given a maximum of 10 days before she becomes quadriplegic and then soon after lose her fight  with the terrible disease. Initially it was a lump on her shoulder, after operating it was found to be an aggressive sarcoma which chemotherapy is not effective on. It metastasised to her lung which was surgically removed, then to her spine which was radiated and operated on and the radiated again. Now the tumour is inside her vertebrae squeezing on her spine and the doctors have said there is nothing more they can do. She is losing function FAST. 3 days ago she could walk and now she cannot even sit up unaided. Within 10 days she will be quadriplegic. She stayed in Sydney for the best chance of survival and was planning to go home but it has progressed faster than anyone anticipated

Funds will be used to charter a special medical flight to get her home as she cannot fly on a regular airline. The flight needs to be fully equipped like an ambulance in case something happens mid air. If we cannot raise enough to get her home, money will be used to fly as many of her 14 grandchildren to her as we can afford.

This is not just for Deb but for the kids. This is their last chance to see their Grandma, hear her voice and get a big hug from her. Please help us make this happen.

Time is of the essence and while the family is doing everything they can to raise the money it is such a huge amount and it is needed NOW so any help will make a real difference.
