On February 5, 2023, at approximately 2:30 A.M., my sister Bella was driving a friend home when a vehicle ran a red light and struck her vehicle resulting in irreparable damage to her vehicle, physical trauma which resulted in several trips to the ER along with ongoing medical needs, diminished income, no transportation, and a broken spirit. The individual who struck Bella proceeded to flee the scene on foot. Several open containers of alcohol within the vehicle that struck Bella were recovered at the scene, but the individual who hit her was unable to be located until several days later.

Bella owed $12,379.90 on her vehicle at the time of the accident. Bella’s vehicle has since been deemed totaled by her insurance company. The insurance company offered a settlement of $9,300.00.

This leaves Bella upside down $3,079.90 on the vehicle, which does not include her original down payment used to purchase her car, a rental vehicle, nor the interest she will accrue each month that she must continue to pay until she reaches payoff.

At this time, my family has exhausted all of our efforts / contributed as much as humanly possible. As it currently stands, we are not in a financial position to take on the lump sum of this loan and down payment for a new vehicle. Fortunately, Bella has a friend loaning her transportation which is expected to end soon.

My family and I are requesting donations on behalf of Bella from anyone reading this to help get my sister out from underneath the car loan and back to ground zero and a new normalcy.

Funds will solely be used towards the remainder of her loan ($3,079.90), a down payment or full payment towards a safe + reliable vehicle, and ongoing medical expenses not covered from the accident.
