Becca Quinn is a pitbull lover, pet transporter, and, before anything else, my mother.
Unfortunately, she is also currently experiencing homelessness.
After a string of pandemic-fueled bad luck, Becca’s bus—her vehicle that doubles as home and work vehicle for Becca Q’s Pet Transport—broke down in Oakland, California. She has been 4 months without making any money at all, she is at the end of whatever savings she had, and needs help.
I am a graduate student at UCLA living in Los Angeles on a fellowship, so I lack any disposable income to help with the situation. Her bus, a 2010 Chevy Express, needs a new engine, which she was quoted at $5300, a dollar amount none of her immediate family has available. The option to get a new vehicle to work and live in is on the table, but similarly will cost $5000-$6000.
Until the day I have the financial means to give back to my mother in the selfless way she has given to me my entire life, we turn to you to help her get her life back on track, or better yet, back on the road.
